American artist Nina Davidowitz creates contemporary landscapes infused with color and light. Inspired by her surroundings, Nina uses her own photography as a guide to creating crisp and vivid modern paintings. 

Nina has been a professional visual artist for over 40 years. Her work has been featured in national and regional venues, and her avid collectors can be found along the east coast, from New York to Washington, DC to Palm Beach, Florida. Nina has received several national exhibition awards. In 2017 she was a featured artist in the summer issue of Acrylic Artist magazine, and her work was also shown in the French magazine Practique des Arts. Nina splits her time between Northeastern PA and Palm Beach County, Florida.

ARTIST'S STATEMENT

I began making art at an early age when I discovered the magic of putting colors, lines and shapes onto paper. A self-taught artist, my work has evolved over many years of experimantation. I currently work mostly in acrylics, and do daily photography shoots that inspire my compositions. My work reflects my interests in nature and historic architecture, and in a spiritual sense, the magic and healing properties of Light. 

In my travels and wanderings through local towns and neighborhoods, I seek out - and always find - little corners and nooks of quiet beauty lit by the sun. These moments of luminous harmony, where sunlight dances across the surfaces of houses, streets and shrubberies, turn ordinary scenes into something very special. I feel it is my calling as an artist to share these moments with you, for we all need beauty, serenity and balance in our lives! I hope my work will bring people joy, and serve as a reminder that inspiration can be found anywhere that we are willing to look.
