“Exploring the Arts” - Art Classes at the JCC
I’m excited to announce that I’ll be teaching a series of art classes for adults at the Friedman Jewish Community Center (JCC) in Kingston. As an artist and teacher with many years of experience, I believe in the power of Art to uplift, heal and energize the soul. I look forward to sharing my passion for the arts with you and hope these classes will spark your own creative journey!
The JCC is a welcoming non-profit venue open to all faiths. It is open to the public and membership is not required to enroll in classes. There is easy access to the building (no steps) and plenty of free parking.
The JCC is located at 613 S.J. Strauss Ln, Kingston, PA 18704. Phone: (570) 824-4646. Website: www.friedmanjcc.org

Art Appreciation Series - The Modern Era
Our Art Appreciation class at the Friedman JCC has been going strong since we began last fall. From the period of Ancient art, we've explored our way through history and are finally reaching the Modern Era! This session will start with Impressionism (c.1867) and will move forward into the 20th century, with artists Monet, Cézanne, Van Gogh, Matisse, Kandinsky, Seurat, Picasso, Frank Lloyd Wright, and many more!
Class meets on Monday nights from 6:15 - 7:45 pm. Open to all - no prior art experience necessary! Sign up for the 6-week session, or pop in for a single class on the dates that work for you.

April 2025 "Paint 'n Sip" Workshop
They say that April Showers bring May Flowers...and we are ready to bloom a little early in the studio this month!
Join us for this one-day workshop where we'll paint our own unique versions of Georgia O'Keeffe's "Sunflower, New Mexico 1935" painting. Follow along with me, or "do your own thing" as we learn to mix beautiful blues, greens and yellows with acrylic paint. Each participant will complete their own Sunflower painting on canvas to take home. No experience is necessary - everyone can do it!
All supplies are included. Please bring a beverage of your choice to enjoy during class!
