A serigraph is the Fine Art version of a silk screen print; they are original works of art as no two are the same. Unlike reproduction prints, which are merely a color picture of an existing artwork, serigraphs require the involvement of two artists: the original artist and the printer. Although automated serigraph machines do exist, the printer I work with (…my son, a well-known printer in NYC) creates serigraphs entirely by hand. I was excited to collaborate on this project with my son! We chose to do a version of my first Ocean Sunrise collage.

There are 20 prints in this edition. The image area in this print measures 20.5” wide x 29”; the total size of the paper (this includes the white border) is 23.5” xx 32.5”. (See photo of me and my son for reference on the size).

The print is unframed, and will be shipped in a tube.
